After completing a graphic design degree at the University of Kingston and a communication design degree at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Mirko Borsche (* 1971) worked for the advertising agency Springer & Jacoby. From 1999 to 2002 he was art director at the now magazine of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, for which he returned in 2004 and for which he was in charge until 2007. Initially working as Art Director of the Mini-International BMW Group in 2002, he took over the conception and art direction of the STERN supplement and start-up NEON in the same year. Since 2007 he has been the creative director of DIE ZEIT, the ZEITmagazin and other titles of ZEIT Verlag.
The Bureau Mirko Borsche design studio has received numerous recognized national and international awards.
